Welcome to the Apollo Gymnastics Parents Association Website! 

After completing the AGPA Membership form, you will be a member of the parents association.  The AGPA is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) Organization.  There is a board that is elected each June and meets once a month.  The minutes from the board meetings are sent out to all membership and quarterly there are General Membership meetings that you will be invited to. 

The parents association is set up to raise appropriate funds to help offset costs that will be incurred through the competitive season.  Each meet, your child’s coach is reimbursed for travel costs that include session fees, mileage to/from the gym, hotels and meals – this adds up quick!  That’s why it is very important for every family to participate in the fundraising events/programs that are offered. 

Upstairs in the gym you will notice by the seating area there is a folder file box that has a folder for each competing gymnast in the gym.  Your child will have a folder with his/her name that will be used to share information about upcoming fundraising events.  When you join you will be provided a welcome packet in your child’s team folder that will provide some important information about fundraising, meet schedules (when available), bylaws, board contact information, meet obligation document (signature required), etc.   There are also a few bulletin boards upstairs that share important information – meet scores, team pictures, sign up lists, used team uniform/warm-ups for sale, etc.  Be sure to check out the information that is available!

As the Secretary of the parents association, I will be sending out the majority of communication via e-mail, please be sure to add AGPASec@aol.com to your safe e-mail list so you can receive information.  Also, you have a Level Representative for your child’s training/competing level.  They will make contact with you and welcome you as well and answer any questions you may have.  We will try to keep this website updated as well for you with any information.  Please check this site often!
